The history of the New Year's Show for children in the Kremlin has 67 years. The first performance took place in 1953. Moscow Trade Unions have always been among the main organisers of this event in the modern history of our country.

Moscow Trade Union Federation stays true to tradition and organizes the Kremlin New Year's Show with the support of the Moscow Government and the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation. Moscow Trade Unions have been preparing for this event for a whole year: they are holding a script competition, selecting artists and sweet gifts for children. The Commission for approving the New Year's Show is chaired personally by the MTUF President.

Every year thousands children from all regions of Russia come to this event. This performance on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace is always a colorful and unforgettable show. Amazing scenery, magnificent costumes and of course the high professionalism of the artists allow to transfer guests to a fairytale. Famous Russian actors and singers take part in the voicing of fairy-tale characters.

2020 made its own adjustments to the New Year Show in the Kremlin. This season, due to the quarantine restrictions, the play was shown only on TV. The sign language version of the Show was available on the MTUF website. We hope that next year children will have the opportunity to visit the State Kremlin Palace and to find themselves in a New Year's fairytale.
